Join the PTSA

It takes a village… and the PTSA is counting on your support!

PTSA membership provides you with a voice & a vote for future programs and activities within Glenwood Middle School. Memberships are renewed annually.

Who belongs to the PTSA? All GMS parents, guardians, grandparents, staff members and friends!

Become a member or renew your annual PTA membership at our Givebacks store (formerly Member Hub).

You can also print a membership form to bring with cash or a check to the GMS Main Office.

What we do and why we do it!

If you think PTSA members just organize car pools and chaperone school dances, you might want to attend our next meeting! The PTSA can be your best link to your students, teachers, and school administrators, and is one of the easiest ways to become involved at GMS!

PTSA members support and speak on behalf of our students – in the schools, in the community, and before government groups and other organizations that make decisions affecting our students.

What is a PTSA member expected to do? Your level of involvement is up to you, but here are some of the main things the PTSA needs assistance with:

  • Help with fundraisers: We raise money throughout the year for programs and improvements at the school.
  • Your opinions: Your voice is important to help shape the goals of the PTSA. Feel free to share your concerns and suggestions at meetings.
  • Commitment: You’ll get the most out of your PTSA membership by staying involved. Meetings are usually scheduled in the evenings. If you can’t make a meeting, check the website for meeting minutes and try to make it to some of our PTSA sponsored events.

PTSA programs and activities include:

  • Dances/Family Fun activities for students in the fall and spring
  • Memory books, Intramural scholarships and PE uniforms for students in need
  • Cultural Arts Programs
  • Classroom supply reimbursements for staff members
  • Luncheon/breakfasts for staff appreciation at various times throughout the year
  • Contribution to all end of year celebrations for 6th, 7th and 8th grades
  • School store and spirit wear
